Biographies

Areka D. Foster, LPCC, ATR-BC has over 25 years of experience as a professional counselor. Working for 12 years at Hospice of Northwest Ohio as a bereavement counselor, she specialized in creative expressions of grief and loss. Areka also worked for 4 years as an expressive therapist at University of Toledo Medical Center Kobacker Inpatient Unit providing creative counseling and art therapy to individuals and groups. She has extensive experience working with all ages, groups and families. Areka has advanced training in EMDR and provisional certification in Somatic Experiencing®, both helpful in the treatment of trauma. She offers training workshops, supervision and currently provides groups at The Victory Center of Toledo.
